We met Mary back in October 2019 when we traveled to Tucson with some friends to investigate the real-estate market. In our initial meeting, we were given a lot of information including a Binder filled with information specifically designed for us, people that were planning to move here from out of State. Mary also had a Website that was tailored to our requirements including all of the listings that were in our price range, and the ability to select property details that we were interested in. We leased a home in Sabino Canyon so we could take our time exploring the many suburbs in the area. Our house in California sold the first day on the Market and that is when we began to search in earnest. Mary was where to support us and guide us thru the many things to consider when buying a house in a Desert environment. The Website and our binder proved invaluable in our search. Mary was always available to us with our many questions when we would tell her about specific homes we were looking at. When our house closed in California, we were ready to make our decision on a house in Oro Valley. We called Mary and had an offer submitted in about a hour, even though the Winter is the prime season for Real Estate in Tucson. Our offer was accepted and that is when all of the work for Mary really began, with the inspections and the disclosures and all of the behind the scenes work necessary to make it happen. And all of this was happening during the World Wide Pandemic from the Corona virus was affecting literally all of Business and Society. Mary and her Team of super qualified and great People at Long Realty pulled together and made our Dream home become a reality when we closed right on time, even though the pandemic crisis was in full swing and many other Real Estate dealings were unable to happen. We had decided to sell our home in San Diego and move to Tucson, where our son had attended the University of Arizona. We had come to appreciate many of the positives of Tucson life over the last few years on visits to see our son, but we did not know anyone here that could represent us in the purchase of a home. Mary came well-recommended from our friend, and we established contact while still living in San Diego. She talked to us at length over the phone to ascertain our needs and desires in a Tucson property and once we narrowed down areas, home types, and pricing preferences, she began to send us properties that might suit us. We would offer commentary, which allowed Mary to further pinpoint what we were interested in. She was very helpful in identifying areas and properties that we would NOT want to consider, always giving her experienced and candid opinion of why that was the case. Finally, we decided to come out for a few days to see some places in person. She welcomed us warmly, and oriented us to Tucson quickly. We then commandeered her undivided attention for most of three days, as she escorted us around to see well over a dozen homes. As we originally thought we would like to find a fixer-upper and do a renovation, Mary arranged to have a respected contractor colleague come to some of the properties to weigh in on renovation pros and cons and what things would cost. This was extremely helpful to us, and I thought Mary must be very well-respected and connected in this town to be able to get a busy professional to help us out with this preliminary groundwork. As it turns out, we decided to purchase a better-maintained home in the Catalina Foothills, which had beautiful views of the mountains and the city. We made a full-price offer because Mary knew the listing agent and had a good idea of what other interest this property had generated. And because of her personal relationship with the listing agent, we had our offer accepted over cash buyers! There were so many details from that point on, with appraisals and inspections for plumbing, HVAC, roofing, pests, and Mary took care of all these things for us, as we were back in San Diego at that point. She gave us a wonderful referral for a local lender, smoothed over all the details of our escrow, and negotiated very skillfully with the listing agent over needed repairs and post-escrow rent-back with the sellers. Our escrow closed in three weeks, on time, and with everyone happy! Mary also has such a well-developed network of people in all fields and trades that getting help with work we needed done has been a breeze. Everyone she has connected us with has been a total pro and great to deal with. From start to finish, Mary has been incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring about us. To sum up, we give Mary an A++ grade, and wish that everyone needing a skilled Realtor in Tucson could be so lucky to find her.

I think he has done 4 or 5 real estate transactions with her. I too am a lawyer and was a real estate broker in California for 8 years so I had high expectations. I expected she would cross all t's and dot all i's. She far exceeded all my expectations. A year earlier two of my very best friends in the world passed. I was an emotional mess. Then my mother passed away 9 months before my aunt (my mother's sister.) I was tasked with being the trustee and administering my aunt's living trust which included selling my aunt's house after she passed away. I was very close to my aunt and had a lot of wonderful memories in that house and I cried every day for over a year while administering the estate. I spent at least 6 hours a day, 7 days a week for 4 months at the house dealing with personal documents and her personal property. I still miss my aunt terribly and still cry for her often. Add to the above, the buyers had just suffered the suicide of their child. Tensions were high, fuses were short, and there were lots and lots of emotional issues. It's always stressful buying or selling a house but Mary was absolutely the calm in the storm. When my hair caught on fire, she put it out and made me laugh to boot. She has a whole cadre of service providers that helped me paint the house, clean up the yard (which hadn't been done in at least 10 years -- we filled up 2 large dumpsters of yard waste) and advised me about what to do to enhance the curb appeal of the house. I'm an avid gardener and wanted to do a Better Homes and Gardens approach but she reigned me in. I also had to dispose of the personal property in the house and she advised me about what to leave in the house to present it well so the buyers could see themselves in the house rather than be distracted by my aunt's personal things. Her photographer for the listing was terrific. There were 8 closets full of clothes to dispose of, appliances to move, doors that didn't have keys and she put me in touch with a locksmith who took care of the problem with no issues. Her housecleaning team was astounding and very thorough and quick. I also had to go through every single piece of paper in the house and she referred me to a document shredding company come when I was done sorting things out. They were in and out of the house with about 10 boxes of files in about 5 minutes. She often went out of her way to do things to help me that are not the responsibility of a Realtor. She is just an amazing professional and a superb compassionate efficient person. Don't do anything in real estate without at least talking with Mary first.
